All courses and sessions are usually one or two day in duration. Sessions are a mixture of theory, practice and interactive sessions. Fun and enjoyment are key without losing sight of the important messages you want to deliver. Cost for all courses/work are negotiable and with no hidden costs, all quotes are final and maintained for 3 months. |
Non Injecting Harm Reduction Non injecting drug use is often forgotten in the harm reduction training world. Safer injecting is covered but the risks and approaches regarding the reduction of harm for those using drugs that are not injected is covered in this one or two day course. Alcohol and cannabis are often quoted by staff as the drugs people use when attending services and so bringing staff up to speed with techniques that are not just abstinence based will help to reduce failures to attend appointments and premature discharge of clients. Policy and approaches explored with exercises and explorations of attitudes towards the approach of harm reduction. Local, national and international perspectives discussed, but mainly based on how we as human beings can accept behaviour without necessarily accepting and condoning behaviour. |
